About
I was asked by cultureHub to create an interactive browser-based event viewer and a control interface that manages to displayaudiences’ livestream around the world through real-time artistic renderings on the projected surface on stage. Vital Signs’s event audience around the world would go to the event viewer to watch the live-stream from the main stage in Seoul and their web-cam footages will be converted into a “ghost” like real-time rendered graphics that overlays on top of the live event footages. All of the audience’s web-cam live streams will then be sent to Seoul and the control interface will combine those into a single rendering that is going to be displayed on stage.
You can check out a client-side demo here.
DEVELOPMENT
Both the event-viewer and the control interface are implemented using THREE.js with customized GPGPU shaders.
